The Challege
Student groups are encouraged to include diversity education as an essential component of the college experience and campus activities.
The Assessment
A gap analysis reveals the need for basic training in elevating the appreciation of diversity awareness in student group campus activities in order to best model the values of the University.
The Action
Student group leaders gathered for a half-day interactive learning retreat highlighting the foundation of norms and values needed to support healthy teams. Each student organization drafted an action plan to anchor diversity resources as a foundation for empowering interdependence and innovation.
The Outcome
A spirit of cross-fertilization was ignited as student leaders shared best practices in collaboration. Strategic partnerships were established to enhance the depth and breadth of student group projects across the campus.
